Established in 1976 by pioneer orthodontist Dr. Ramanand Hegde, we were the first exclusive orthodontic practice for dental braces in Bangalore.
Orthodontic procedures are usually long-term and involve continuous treatment. To provide the required level of care for our patients, a conscious decision was taken to limit the practice, rather than having a mix of general dentistry and orthodontics.
Dr. Ritu joined Dr. Hegde’s Clinic in 2002 and continues to uphold the rich legacy left by her predecessor.
About Dr. Ritu Jacob
Dr. Ritu Jacob was born and brought up in central Bangalore. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Bangalore Institute of Dental Sciences (1992-1997).
She then completed a 3-year Post Graduate Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics from Saveetha Dental College, Chennai (1999-2002).
In 2002, she moved back to Bangalore to join Dr. Ramanand Hegde, and has had a practice limited to orthodontics since then. She is a certified Invisalign provider for invisible orthodontic braces in Bangalore.
Dr. Ritu keeps herself abreast of the latest tools and techniques, and has been mentored by some of the most distinguished orthodontists in the world. She can guide you on advancements in ceramic or metallic braces, as well as invisible aligners.
In 2002, she completed a short-term course in Tip Edge technique with Dr. Peter Kesling in Westville, USA.
In 2016, she completed an advanced 2-year post graduate course with Dr. Richard McLaughlin and Dr. Terry McDonald in San Diego, USA.
Dr. Ritu Jacob is a member of several dental specialty organizations such as The Indian Orthodontic Society, The American Association of Orthodontists and The World Federation of Orthodontists.
She lives in Bangalore with her husband Dr. Siju Jacob (Endodontist) and their two lovely daughters, Siya and Saanvi. Apart from orthodontics, she is passionate about water painting and gardening.
